HPF is an innovative project developed by a team of students from the Medical School and the Department of Computer Science. The team aims to design an alternative method for recording patients' perceptions of pain using a saliva biosensor and a mobile application. The app will guide patients in describing their health condition more accurately, while the collected data will contribute to a more objective approach to pain management and personalized treatment solutions.

HPF was awarded the "Rector's Council Award", which grants the winning team the opportunity to participate in Stage Two, the first pan-European competition for university-based startups within the RWTH Aachen Network. Their work stands out for its potential to revolutionize pain assessment and treatment, bridging medical science and technology for improved patient care.
